BUTEYKO aims to restore healthy functional breathing, a practice whereby you can heal yourself safely and naturally. It is impossible to overstate the importance of correct breathing and its effect on your wellbeing.

BUTEYKO is wonderful as it is easily understood; it doesn’t get any simpler or more affordable than learning to breathe properly.

BUTEKO is a powerful safe approach for reversing health problems such as ASTHMA, LOW ENERGY, BREATHLESSNESS, RHINITIS, POOR CIRCULATION, DEPRESSION,  RHINITIS , COPD, SNORING , SLEEPING DISORDERS all associated with improper breathing. My inspiration for teaching Buteyko Breathing stems from my own personal experience with deteriorating health. With a COPD diagnosis, sleepless nights coughing and congestion, nothing I was trying seemed to help. I discovered Buteyko Breathing by chance, and I liked the concept. It was easy to understand and to practise and so very quickly my quality of life improved beyond measure. It has changed my life forever. It all started with such a perfect suggestion,

START YOUR JOURNEY TO BREATHING RE-EDUCATION THE COURSE

Throughout the course I teach you the breathing exercises and some simple theory over 5 or 6 lessons, usually totalling about 10 hours. You can complete these exercises at anytime and in any situation. Your personal toolbox! I will monitor and follow your progress, and help you to succeed. The exercises require commitment, however as your health improves you won’t need encouragement, you will want to continue. These techniques have been validated by numerous independent trials.

The 5 sessions of 2 hours each are about learning the classic BUTEYKO building blocks, the toolkit you will be able to use to increase your health and well-being. The severity of your symptoms and the length of time you have been unwell will affect the length of time before you have reduced or eradicated your symptoms. However you WILL notice improvement straight away.

  • SESSION 1

    SESSION 1

    In Session 1 we discuss your symptoms and concerns, and assess the best way forward for you. You will learn some simple exercises, and the importance of nasal breathing and diaphragmatic breathing. A little theory, discussing reducing breathing volume, however we will concentrate on getting you started with the breathing exercises.  I will give you some homework and arrange for another session in a couple of days. It is important to have 2 sessions in the first week.
  • SESSION 2

    SESSION 2

    In session 2 you may have some questions, and I will assess your progress measuring your Control Pause (CP) and see how you are going at night, and with the homework. I will introduce some more information regarding the consequences of mouth breathing, basic anatomy and respiratory physiology, while you relax between repetitions of a couple of new exercises, and revision of the ones you learnt in session 1. Some lifestyle discussion and homework.
  • SESSION 3

    SESSION 3

    In session 3 we will cover CP measurement, assessment of your progress, revision and practise of the exercises, some interesting respiratory information, and any questions you may have. This will bring together everything you have learned, and create a better understanding as to why the Buteyko method works. We will discuss the importance of physical exercise, learning to become aware of your breathing, the set homework, and why you need to practice.
  • SESSION 4 AND 5

    SESSION 4 AND 5

    In sessions 4 and 5 we will be reviewing your progress, answering any questions, practising the exercises and discussing integrating the exercises into your everyday life; Making Buteyko Breathing part of your routine! We will go over some simple physiology and your own evaluation of your symptoms. By aiming to normalise your breathing, soon correct breathing will become second nature for you. I will be there to guide you through the process, and will help you succeed. Once you have mastered classic fundamental exercises and principles of Buteyko Breathing you may incorporate dynamic Buteyko practise into your life.
